Bored with Xanga

So I think I'm bored with Xanga and Facebook is lots of fun.  I'm still going to keep my Xanga page for a while, but I have been spending more time on Facebook... If you're ever there, come and find me!

I doesn't seem like anyone reads these entries anyway, at least no one who wouldn't just read them on Facebook.

Test Driving Facebook

Today, after multiple invitations, I registered for Facebook.  I'm not sure what to think of it yet, so let me know what you like or dislike about it.  If you're on Facebook, look me up!

My New Toy

With part of my income tax return, I bought a fabulous iPod (80gb with video)!  It's fun, handy, and - as an added bonus - makes Luke a little jealous... I'm rarely cool enough or in possession of anything cool enough to make him green.  Tomorrow, my friend Melissa and I are getting together for an "iPod play date" so that she can teach me how to do even more amazing things with the little gizmo.

Just for fun, here are the first five songs that come up when I shuffle all of them:
1. Split Screen Sadness - John Mayer
2. Overture/Hannibal - Andrew Lloyd Webber (The Phantom Of The Opera)
3. This Side - Nickel Creek
4. Breathing - Lifehouse
5. Wishful Thinking - Kevin Toney

What are the first five on your mp3 player?

The HR department sent this revision to the "found skirt" notice that I posted several months ago.  I am also posting several other funny "found" notices.

Feet - More Than You Wanted To Know!

As many of you know, my feet have been killing me since the week of the Inter-state Fair and Rodeo.  I went to my family doctor who refered me to a podiatrist.  Unfortunately for me and my feet, the specialist couldn't get me in until today.

According to Dr. Wesselowski, my arches have started falling.  He says that it is something that he typically sees in older people, overweight people, or those who are on their feet a lot, but he doesn't think that I fall into any of those categories.  He took x-rays and I had to stand up - barefoot and painful! - but those didn't show anything wrong.  Apparently, I have very flat, very flexible feet and I have an extra bone near the inside center of my foot.  It usually fuses to another bone but mine didn't so they are putting pressure on the tendons and the tendons are starting to weaken and fall with all the pressure.  Also, because of the flexibility, my pinkies tend to roll and are starting to get callouses on the outsides.

He added padding and support to my shoes and taped my right foot (the more painful of the two) to relieve some of the pressure on that tendon.  I have an appointment for next week, so we will see how it's going!
